COMMUNITY Care and Transport, Care in Motion, has added a new Hyundai Staria to its fleet, thanks to Yorke Peninsula Council’s ongoing support. Based in Yorketown, the new eight-seat people mover has been well received by clients and volunteer drivers, Care in Motion CEO, David McDonald, said.

“Yorketown’s is the most used vehicle in the Care in Motion fleet, and is rarely standing still,” Mr McDonald said. “The new vehicle gives clients and volunteers a more comfortable ride to and  rom medical and social engagements.”

Council is delighted to give ongoing assistance to Care in Motion, Mayor Darren Braund said. “The provision of this much-needed service for the Yorke Peninsula community is essential to help
combat the tyranny of distance.

“It is important our residents remain engaged and are not socially isolated; Care in Motion is an integral part of our strategy to support our community.”

Mr McDonald expressed thanks for council’s support, including the mayor, CEO Andrew Cameron and elected members. “Yorke Peninsula Council takes an active interest in our organisation and the community as a whole, Mr McDonald said. “It is a pleasure to be working with like-minded people who are focused on their community to provide best outcomes.”
